No. WayMate works without registration. No ads and no third-party trackers.
How does the app count steps?
WayMate reads your step data from Apple Health (Motion & Fitness sensors). It doesn’t use GPS and it doesn’t send data to our servers.
What permissions are required?
Read access (and optionally write access) to “Steps” in Apple Health. You can change these anytime in iOS Settings → Health.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, in Apple Health. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you’ve enabled iCloud for Health.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
Not required. If you have one, your Watch steps appear automatically via Apple Health and are shown in WayMate.
